SPIDER SOLITAIRE HOKEY POKEY

Daisies

NOTE: These pages work for Windows XP. I'm not sure about Vista, but Windows 7 no longer allows for saved games except when you exit the program, so some of this info is outdated if you're on Windows 7.

NEW! Now you can download my best Spider Solitaire .sav games, and 2 great utilities for managing your saved games, Free. Enjoy!

I apologize if this page is slow to load, but the photos need to be big enough to read the cards.

I call this the Hokey Pokey because there's so much "in and out and turning about." It isn't really difficult, just labor-intensive.

In this example, we'd like to see the queen of spades on the king of spades, but guess what--WE ONLY HAVE ONE HOLE! AARRGGHH!

Okay, so it's not all that bad. Watch and learn. <grin>

CARDS

  • Put the 10 of diamonds in the hole
  • Put the 9 of spades on the 10 of diamonds
  • Put the 10 of clubs on the jack of clubs

CARDS

  • Put the 9 of spades on the 10 of clubs
  • Put the 10 of diamonds on the jack of hearts

CARDS

  • Now you can put the 10/jack of clubs in the hole
  • Move the queen of spades to the king of spades
  • And put the 10/jack of clubs back onto the queen of spades.
  • Put the 10/jack of clubs back on the queen of spades and move is complete. (Naturally, after all that work, we turned up the other king of spades. AARRGGHH!!)
